ReefValve keeps its use of browser storage deliberately small.
What is stored
- Compare selection — the products you pin to the compare tray, so the tray survives moving between pages. Stored locally in your browser.
- Cookie choice — a single record of the choice you made in the notice, so we do not ask again.
- Analytics — aggregate measurement of which pages are read.
Third parties
Following an affiliate link hands you to a retailer, which sets its own cookies under its own policy. We have no control over those and no access to what they contain.
Managing storage
Every browser lets you clear site storage. Doing so empties your compare tray and makes the cookie notice appear again; nothing else on the site changes.
A note on local files
If you are viewing this site from a local folder rather than a web address, some browsers isolate storage per file. The notice may reappear on each page. That resolves once the site is served from a domain.
