The first stage draws on Mares' proven 52 platform, a design refined over decades of regulator engineering, and updates it with a more compact, lightweight body that reduces bulk on the tank valve without sacrificing airflow. Five low-pressure ports and two high-pressure ports are arranged around the swiveling turret, giving divers flexibility in routing hoses for octopus, gauges, and inflator systems regardless of configuration or diving style.

At the heart of the Fusion second stage is Mares' signature blend of technical performance and comfort-focused ergonomics. The exhaust tee is oversized and positioned to sweep bubbles away from the diver's field of vision, while the soft silicone mouthpiece is shaped to reduce jaw fatigue during long dives.
